The college filled social networking site Facebook.com has joined Stephen Colbert in his run for the 2008 presidential election. One group broke the million member mark just nine days after creation. Combine this with multiple applications that can be added to your own personal profile, and it is obvious that Colbert support is reaching an all time high. These numbers are showing that American’s are reaching out in every way they can to show as much support for Stephen Colbert’s run for presidency as they can.

The growth of this group on facebook has outperformed groups formed for every other candidate. After Stephen Colbert’s “1,000,000 Strong For Stephen T Colbert” the next closest political group is a group named “Stop Hillary Clinton: (One Million Strong AGAINST Hillary)” with just under 500,000 members. This isn’t even a support group. Colbert’s group is by far the fastest growing political support group on facebook.

With obvious support from so many Americans, Colbert’s run for presidency should outperform what analysts’ initially predicted. Stephen Colbert is definitely off to a great start.
